Flexing to Release

This exercise is a staple at Harb Ski Systems camps. The exercise isolates the effects of flexing to release the edges of the old turn. Because the exercise is done without the momentum that is a part of actual turns, the exercise puts an emphasis on developing a greater range of flexion and primarily flexing the old stance leg. If you can do this exercise well, doing transitions on the slopes will be a breeze. As an addition, the video points out some crucial issues with arm position in the pole plant cycle.
